These are questions that many residents of Polish cities, especially Krakow, have. Smog is harmful to our health and negatively affects our well-being. Fatigue, eye irritation, throat and trachea irritation, cancer, and even fetal damage are some of the consequences of inhaling smog. It's time to start avoiding it.

With the "Air Pollution" app, you can monitor the level of air pollution in real-time:

• PM10 particles
• PM2.5 particles
• sulfur dioxide (SO2)
• nitrogen dioxide (NO2)
• ozone (O3)
• carbon monoxide (CO)
• benzene (C6H6)

The data is presented in the form of charts based on regulatory limits.

You can also check air pollution forecasts through collaboration with the ekoprognoza.pl website.

Available measurement stations: GIOŚ, LookO2, and Airly map.

Please note that data may be published for longer periods than one hour and may be unavailable for some time. This depends on the data administrator, GIOŚ (Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection).

Norms:

• PM10: 50µg/m³ - 24-hour standard concentration
• PM2.5: 25µg/m³ - average annual concentration standard
• NO2: 40µg/m³ - same as above
• SO2: 125µg/m³ - 24-hour standard concentration that may be exceeded up to 3 times a year
• CO: 10mg/m³ - 8-hour standard concentration
• O3: 120µg/m³ - 8-hour standard concentration that may be exceeded up to 25 days a year
